      Horrible environment - Operations Support Specialist ESP Utilities Group Employee Review

      Pros

      The people there are absolutely lovely.

      Cons

      Management is awful, made to feel like school rather than work. No routes for progression, managers sometimes try to prevent movement within the company as they don’t want to backfill the position. No flexibility whatsoever about working from home. No communication about changes.

      Pros

      Lots of communication about the business and where they are working towards; Nice facilities; Good salary; Nice management events all inclusive; Good benefits and on the spot rewards.

      Cons

      This is about operations specifically - very toxic management; Lots of micro management; No trust in employees; Resentment towards a hybrid role Poor communication amongst team managers, Bad behaviours not discouraged from managers and team treated poorly and without respect or care, Lack of respect for team members and their personal circumstances / life styles.

      Thank you for your honest feedback. We're sorry that your experience has fallen short of what we would hope for. Specifically in our Operations department we have a strong management team who is leading with care and understanding of their team needs and challenges. Recently we have introduced targeted Coaching which is supporting managers with their leadership style and we have seen great improvements since then.       - Free parking - Good office space - Nice middle management team - Reasonable compensation package

      Cons

      - Constantly shifting focus meaning a lack of direction - Selective applications of strategy with clients - Old school management style / ruling by fear and intimidation
