EPAM Systems has played a key role in shaping my career. From the beginning, I was exposed to practices like Clean Code and Clean Design through ENGx, which helped build a solid technical foundation. Initiatives such as hackathons, design challenges, and internal events make learning hands-on and encourage collaboration across teams. There’s flexibility to explore beyond your core responsibilities—like contributing to pre-sales, participating in tech talks, or becoming an interviewer. Leadership supports professional development, and contributions are generally recognized. Despite starting with an insurance background, I later worked on domains like payments and banking, using modern tech stacks and AWS. There's also ongoing work in GCP, Azure, and increasing focus on GenAI. EPAM provides structured learning on tools like GitHub Copilot to help stay current. The work environment is collaborative, and people are usually willing to help.
Cons
As a large organization, internal mobility can take time, and getting onto a preferred project isn't always immediate.
