The benefits were excellent, including medical, dental, and vision coverage. When I was hired in 2010, PTO was determined by a combination of age and tenure. By the time I left in December 2016, I had accumulated about five weeks of vacation.

In 2017, upper management decided to close the Tyler, TX division, which had been operating for at least 17 years. I had planned to retire from EOG, but that decision changed everything.
