Pros
They had a back log of work when I left. Company has an established name. Internal hires are common.
Cons
Professional development is non existent. Salary and benefits are the bare minimum. No salary adjustment for inflation, and a bonus pool a bird couldn't bathe in. 50 hour weeks is the expected minimum. Work life balance was not something that has any kind of priority. Very old school mindset, we work hard, play hard/we are a family standard red flag clichés. Department turnover was very high. In two years I was second most tenured person on a 10 person team. Upper/middle management put no effort into keeping talent because they view takeoff work as something that is less than important. So they would consistently hire people that could not perform long term because they were cheap short term. Obviously that puts a lot of strain on the people that do show up, and made me question their decision making on big ticket items. That was ultimately the reason why I left.
