Pros
Great for people fresh out of university. Somewhat flexible hours. If you have to be in at 9am but come in around 8 45 or 9 15, it's fine as long as you stay for your 8 hours. Lots of OT available if you want it but sometimes it is mandatory. For the most part, everyone is friendly. I've noticed this across different EMSL labs. You get a bonus if you stay for at least 3 years. You can listen to music and have your phone at your desk as long as you are working.
Cons
Management could use some work. Several times when I tried to ask for something from a previous conversation, management goes, "I never said that" when I clearly remembered that they did.... Better get things in writing if you want to get something from them. The work can be very draining and repetitive - ask to be cross trained to keep things interesting but be warned, it might not happen as management can be picky.
