Pros

EMIT is a good company that has been continually evolving as it has grown. The company in very few ways resembles what the company looked like when I first started. If you have read some of the reviews it is clear what kind of people do not work at EMIT. The culture is demanding and there is a belief that we can do more and build better products than any of our competitors regardless of their size or ours. We pride ourselves on hard work. People who do not have a strong work ethic typically do not fit or last. I have received raises unlike some of the earlier reviewers. Raises are earned and not guaranteed. The people who work here are great. The manufacturing facilities are world class. Pay is good. Great location. Company offers matching principal payments on your mortgage to get you out of debt. 15% of company profits are donated to charity.

Cons

No 401K retirement plan.

Pros

Flexibility (If office side) Changes are being made Criticism is appreciated (most days) Competitive Wages

Cons

There's no expectation of home life and work separation. Does someone need something on a weekend because they didn't do their job during the week? Be prepared to be bombarded with questions and then get ripped if you don't drop everything on a weekend to come in a help. There is no overtime or on call compensation - you will be forced to work for free. One of my pro's was criticism is welcomed - this belongs in both columns. If your criticism is given on a bad day for management, you're likely getting fired or your life is going to be a nightmare for the foreseeable future. If the CEO or COO decide they don't personally like you, you will be fired for a made up reason. There's very much a good ole boy setting here. If you're liked by the executives, you can do no wrong and anyone that opposes your view points will be fired.
