Great Culture and Recently Better Pay - Senior Tour Consultant EF (Education First) Employee Review

Pros

The company culture here is amazing. Very positive and collaborative work environment. I've never worked some place where you opinion is truly heard and cared about. It is an open door policy on all things. Goals are important and you are expected to hit them -- but this company cares more about your hard work and dedication. Very liberal environment and flexible with WFH.

Cons

There historically has been a high turnover rate. This is mostly due to a younger staff and the pay not being very competitive with other sales roles. There has recently been a major bump in all sales staff's salaries so turnover rate has recently been decreasing. There is no direct ladder for career advancement which can be confusing. After being a Senior Tour Consultant the only positions you can really move into are Sales Manager or Sales Trainer -- wish they would talk about more opportunities.

Pros

You get to choose your tour and recruit the students you want to bring. The paid chaperone ratio is 6:1, so it is very manageable. The tours are great and the local experts are wonderful.

Cons

Company support is variable. There is high turnover and new consultants are very sales motivated and don't always get the nuances of your school or community group. I have had some WONDERFUL concusltants, but they have always been promoted before I get to work with them again.
