Pros
The people are mostly great. Casual atmosphere. work life balance is great.
Cons
Low pay, atrocious benefits. Health insurance is a CDHP and pays for nothing, so I flat out stopped going to the doctor for anything, because my salary is so low I can't afford it. Yes, even with an HSA that I can barely afford to contribute to. Communication in middle management sucks. If you aren't in sales or marketing, you are pretty much garbage as far as anyone higher up the ladder is concerned. No matter what you do, it's not good enough. The review system (no one gets a 4 or 5, so why are those there?) and paltry-to-non-existant raises shows that. SLT far more concerned about their shareholders than their employees, which is nothing new for corporate America. No career path. My position is a dead-end job with no hope of advancement.
