Pros
Owners possessed great vision and ambition for the media brands that they acquired from Johnson Publishing Company in 2016 (EBONY and JET). However, they lacked the capital to invest in those visions. Sadly, those bright visions for the future were not brought to fruition for lack of funds.
Cons
Lack of funds made operating the media brand business nearly impossible. Traditional publishing is a pricey endeavor. A solid financial plan and a strategic business plan would have benefited this organization greatly.
