Good benefits, union and good coworkers, but most of the experienced people are leaving or have left.
Cons
Management likes to set rules without any basis. They selectively listen to what they want to hear and make decisions based off that. Or the loudest voice in the room is the only one to be heard.
Most supervisors are inexperienced.
Most managers/supervisors are against hybrid work even though it's what the employees want. I expect it to go away at some point and even more people will leave/retire.
Surprisingly high turnover for a municipality, and when new hires can't be processed for 6+ months it puts a lot of extra work on the ones still around.
