Pros

Coworkers are smart and driven and the company has big aspirations which can be very electric. They also have company fun days where everyone comes to the same location and just hang out.

Cons

With the big aspirations, there is a disconnect with reality in what it takes to achieve. This includes not having the right tools, peoples, process, etc. in place to deliver what has been sold and worse yet, overpromising on the new work/clients without learning from historical lessons. Along with this, they run a skeleton crew with a ton of technical debt, so the production support needs are growing by the day and becoming more unreasonable. 50+ hour weeks are the bare minimum with 60+ hour weeks being the norm. Promotion opportunities are rarely granted out of merit, but are done either out of fear of someone leaving or are woefully overdue.

Pros

Some of the sharpest and most talented people I've worked with, who know how to balance working hard and prioritizing excellence with a sense of humor and lightheartedness which is a joy to work with. I learned more here than any other company I've worked for, in both finance and technical concepts, as well as relationally and professionally.

Cons

Product development is behind where it needs to be, but is made up for by a strong team who does what is needed to get the job done. Long hours at times, but generally embraced due to a strong culture.
