Pros
Smart, caring, motivated, kind and collaborative junior level-staff across the board. Sincere mission orientation. The firm really believes in providing a service "beyond commerce." Yeah, it's a for-profit firm, but people choose this for-profit because they care about higher education. Earnest, relatively transparent, accessible senior leadership.
Cons
Astonishing lack of respect for intellectual capabilities and contributions of junior staff on part of division leadership. Perception of entry- and mid-level researchers as interchangeable cogs who should be grateful for the opportunity to learn from senior researchers. Ineffective, bloated processes due to micromanagement and "we know best" attitude from divisional leadership. Complete lack of transparency/integrity around promotion processes and other career development opportunities.
