Pros

Work life balance is excellent. Everyone up through middle management is great to work with/for.

Cons

The executive team likes to pretend that you're a "family" or whatever but that doesn't really mean anything to them. This is a business and they will cast aside employees without a second thought.

Pros

The people are fantastic. There is a true sense of teamwork within the company, and a shared mission that drives the way people interact with those inside and outside of the company. The company's entrepreneurial mindset starts at the top and carries throughout the departments. There are many opportunities to make your voice heard, to influence processes, and even to influence product design. There is a lot of flexibility in scheduling, and everyone from the CEO down genuinely takes an interest in employees and their families. This is evidenced by frequent potlucks, random "fun" days, raffles for primo parking, annual Family Day events, yearly bonuses, and excellent holiday time off (including your birthday). For a small company, they really do work to help their employees achieve work/life balance.

Cons

Duperon is growing - a lot. So there are growing pains, most of which show up in difficulty communicating between departments or missing processes. Management and all employees are aware of this and looking out for it, and while it can make some aspects of the job more difficult it's also an opportunity to make your voice heard - if you're willing to do so.

Pros

The benefits and time off -as well as flex time are the best of any company I have ever worked for.

Cons

Company has great potential to be great if it works on its leadership and management skills. The culture is represented one way - but the leadership team does not enforce it- or really buy into it. No repercussions for anything - people can come and go as they please, and only a select few are held to any kind of standard. The rest can come and go as they please. This is a family business and that part is VERY OBVIOUS. Anyone in "the family" can do whatever they please --- leaving the rest at the effect of their lack-luster performance.
