Pros

Medical insurance from day-one which I ended up needing badly. Leaving the company--happy days there.

Cons

Management is a total joke. They have no people skills and even less management skills. The gyro shop where I worked was a good example of the "Good ole boy" club. Your review was done according to a matrix system. If you were weak in one area and improved, then they would find you weak in another area on your next review---all to avoid advancing you or giving any raises. Screw that game, I put in my one year + and got outta Dodge (Or Lincoln if you prefer.) The company should be renamed Duncan School of Aviation. Get on there, get some experience and get out.

Pros

AMAZING company. The management, the staff, all the employees are just superb. This is the BEST company I have ever worked for in my whole life.

Cons

I wish I lived closer to the company. I live 45 minutes away and the commute is hard. The company doesn't have any cons. Maybe I wish they could offer more PTO, but they are actually comparable to most companies. I am originally from Italy, where receiving 4-6 weeks of PTO is normal, so my "cons" is really not fair to them. lol

Pros

I really miss the family feel my team had. I never felt left out and the other people from other departments were really nice as well. I was nervous moving from out of state to the internship, but mostly excited to work at a big company with amazing jets. It took me a bit to get the hang of things, but I never felt guilty to ask them questions since I was just an intern. The break rooms are great and have a lot of snacks plus meals that you can purchase (food vendors also come in almost everyday of the week). Bathrooms are always clean because the custodians are always on top of it. The hangars are spacious and most techs have their own toolbox. As an intern I only had a few tools, but they did have a "tool crib" where you can check out tools. The company had events that you could participate in for fun. Overall, I had an amazing experience working on a great avionics team and I regret leaving.

Cons

None that I can think of, I loved my experience there!
