Pros

Great PTO. 15 days/yr + 8 holidays and 1 discretionary day for each month without a holiday.

Cons

Difficult to negotiate pay as a new graduate/entry level position, will likely not budge on salary negotiation. No CEU stipend.

Pros

- Great benefits - Beautiful campus - School spirit and pride in the university amongst staff, faculty, and students

Cons

It depends on what area or department you work in. I worked at the Health Policy Center on the Education Team within Duke University and it was not a good environment to work in at all. Being at Duke is what made is better but within the health policy center, there were a lot of biases and politics that made is extremely challenging to be happy there.
