Pros

Duffy Group has a very flexible work environment. You can select the number of hours you work based on your personal situation. It is also a virtual work environment.

Cons

Duffy Group has limited opportunities for advancement within the company. There are also very limited opportunities to increase your salary. It is a privately owned business as well.

Duffy Group Response

Duffy Group is an entrepreneurial environment, and opportunities are limitless. You indicate you have been with the company for over eight years; I would love to hear how you would like to advance. As with most sales driven organizations, the opportunity to increase compensation is tied to increasing sales. Did you participate in the Social Media Program? We rewarded everyone based on their participation. Did you know when the company is “very profitable,” we contribute to the profit sharing plan? During the Great Recession, we were not able to contribute to the profit sharing plan, but we did not take any benefits away, including 100% employer paid health insurance for employees.

Pros

Good company if you want to work from home and make a little extra cash. This is a great job for a stay-at-home mom trying to get back into business. Fun company meeting in Arizona.

Cons

If you are trying to live off their salary forget it. If you are trying to move up quickly into leadership, forget it. Someone on here said "cult-like" and I'd have to agree. No one was particularly vicious, but go against the grain and you will feel it. The only way to garner attention from the CEO is beauty and brown-nosing. CEO has very old-school views on how to dress/present yourself. DEIJ is discussed, but I never felt it was truly practiced, especially the "inclusion" piece. The diversity felt forced for show. Practice Leaders make all the actual cash while the recruiters do the hard work. Some Practice Leaders are clearly better than others, be careful of who you trust here. A few women love to gossip - it can be avoided but it's just so tacky.
