      Terrible place to work - Forklift Operator Domtar Employee Review

      Pros

      None really besides some coworkers are good people but not all.

      Cons

      Sexist place to be if you're a woman. Pay and hours suck. Over half the machines are broken and being held on by duct tape .( supervisors know just don't care.) No one is treated equal. If you are not related to anyone here and you're low on the totem pole you end up just being a number to the mill. They have point systems for doctors so you can end up fired if you have a health condition and miss more than 5 days. That place is terrible stay clear if at all possible.

      Pros

      Close knit excellent maintenance teams that seem to do the impossible with the amount of understaffing over the years. Couldn't ask for a better place or people to work with. I have loved my time at this mill. Domtar has no idea at the quality of the institution\people that they are casting off into the abyss.

      Cons

      The corporation as a whole I am not a fan of. It seems they acquired Resolute FP to strategically dismantle it. They have closed several of the RFP mills and Coosa Pines an absolute institution that has been the backbone of the community for over 75 years is the next on the chopping block in May 2026.
