Pros
Coworkers. Branch Staff. That's about it!
Cons
Where does one begin? Branch Support is anything BUT support. "Keep doing what you're doing" is the typical way that the regionals address their managers, when you ask about possible promotions, or advancement. There is no merit scale. It is based on how upper management feels about you. If they like you, you will get promoted. If not, you'll stay stagnant for all of eternity, but "Keep doing what you're doing." If you are a female manager, expect to wait an extra 2 to 3 years for a promotion, no matter how hard you work for your branch. The regionals are a tight knit group that will be nice to your face and immediately throw you down to the depths of hell if you cross them, or make a mistake. They are so out of touch from their Branch Managers. Additionally , the one that controls the regionals is even worse. Rules with an iron fist and has NO clue what happens in the branches. He has his favorites and if you are not on that list, forget about moving forward. The sad part of that statement is, there are multiple people that could fall into that role. Turnover is terrible for many of the reasons listed above. They do not care if your branch is staffed. "Figure it out" is the mentality.
