Pros
When I first started at DocCare, salary negotiations were tough, but things improved with time with raises when I spoke with managers at performance reviews. The environment is extremely fast paced. Definitely trial by fire. It can be overwhelming at times because of the sheer number of patients we see, but the team is very supportive and collaborative. I learned more here than I ever expected. e Everything from clinical workflows and running diagnostic tests to patient interaction and healthcare operations. I eventually got involved in vaccine inventory management, reporting, and quality improvement projects, which were genuinely meaningful and helped both the team and patients. There are also great mentorship opportunities if you stick around. Senior team members often help guide newer hires, and as you grow, you can do the same.
Cons
The learning curve is steep, and the pace isn’t for everyone. Some people don’t stay long because of the intensity, so there can be turnover. If you’re not ready to hit the ground running, it can feel like a lot.
