Pros
- For part time work it is good pay, I received 3 raises in my first year. -Usually a fun work environment with the right crew. Management is great. -Capable to learn anything you want to know with the right management group, they will help you grow and be the best. -Random bonuses when your store or region performs. -The owner and founder, Bruce Halle, seems like a great stand up guy. Also many of the regional VP's are very nice and make you feel proud to work at Discount/America's Tire Co. -Company outings, picnics, track days, and other trips provided to some part timers and full timers.
Cons
-If you live in an area with lots of trucks, your in for a surprise. Prepare to see your chiropractor. -Store is too small that full time promotions are not in reach unless a full timer leaves or moves to another store. -Long grueling hours working in extreme heat or cold. Lifting constantly and standing and crouching all day. -For full time guys, family time is non existent working 50+ hrs a week.
