Pros

Interesting work with the opportunity to make significant contributions to very cool games and projects, while avoiding the crunch and burnout associated with much of the industry. Intelligent and experienced colleagues who are invested in sharing knowledge with each other. Clear feedback and expectations are set for your role/level. Feels like the first job I've had where I don't need to play a political game to succeed. An open pay system means you don't need to negotiate or worry that you're being underpaid compared to your peers.

Cons

It's still the games industry, so while the pay is good for the industry, you'll still be able to make more outside.

Pros

- I've gotten a lot of invaluable experience in C++ and graphics programming - The interview process was well-designed and involved a solving a real-world programming problem - The tech leads are nice to work with. Generally speaking, it's a very transparent company that treats people fairly

Cons

While they do allow you to work remote, it's only from within the Chicago or Boston area. It doesn't have the full flexibility of working remote. You also can't really work with other people in-person, since most people work from home.
