Pros
I worked with some very talented individuals across several departments, including the UK marketing team that was running lean with a tremendous marketing director and colleagues across sales, product development, and warehouse operations.
Cons
I should’ve seen the red flags working with the current CEO leadership. I hit the ground running wearing multiple hats in the digital sphere (and many others), yet, most of my time was spent in arduous meetings that lasted hours, fixing mistakes my CEO made on several reports or on the Diono sites themselves, and enduring endless condescending banter that wasn’t constructive or useful to the growth of the company. While I had the pleasure of working and collaborating with some amazing agencies, vendors and coworkers, it doesn’t neglect the fact that I felt personally victimized and undervalued in the position I was more than capable of performing. The amount of belittlement from the CEO made it almost impossible to connect and communicate with the 3rd party agencies partners and deeply affected the rest of the marketing department to point of dissolution in the UK. As another review read, speaking to HR (which is one person by the way) won’t help constructively when you’re making a report on the owner of the company. Unfortunately, given the trajectory of the past year, I don’t foresee Diono lasting another decade at this rate.
