Pros

As part of the product team at Diligent, I have had the pleasure of working with talented teams across geographies. The company values global collaboration and innovation, creating an environment where ideas are freely exchanged, and collective efforts lead to successful product launches. Dynamic Global Teamwork Review: Working at Diligent has been an empowering experience, largely due to the dynamic global teamwork. The company fosters a collaborative environment across geographies, allowing us to work with colleagues from different parts of the world. There is a collective problem-solving approach making it easy to tackle challenges as a team. Diligent is a great place for professionals who thrive in a global team setting. Innovation Review: The company is like a playground for innovation, where we are encouraged to experiment with new technologies and possiblities. Diligent is an excellent place for those who want to drive innovation and stay on top of their game learning new technology trends. Learning and Development Opportunities Review: The company values continuous improvement and provides resources for professional growth. It can get quite hectic with continuous changes in business as the organization is expanding but this dynamic environment helps nurturing problem-solving skills.

Pros

The product is market-leading, and the space is genuinely interesting. There's no shortage of smart, capable people at Diligent. A lot of talented managers exist within the org who could do more if given the room.

Cons

Direction changes constantly — sometimes it feels quarter over quarter. The result is widespread burnout and an inability to execute. Senior leaders rarely push back on the CEO, which means teams absorb every strategic shift without warning or context. HR leadership prioritizes serving the executive team over the broader employee population. The HR team is stretched thin and operates more like a compliance function than a culture or development partner. (Turnover within HR leadership has been notable.) Pay is below market. The equity program is opaque, poorly managed, and functions more as a retention mechanism than a genuine benefit (with no clear path to liquidity). There's a meaningful gap between what the company says it stands for—especially around employee experience—and what it actually delivers internally.
