Pros

Innovative, Fast Paced, Smart People, and nice ideals.... Some of the smartest people I've worked alongside. Everyone is incredibly helpful The company's product and mission are second to none

Cons

-BUs operate in Silos -They need C-suite that actually understands how to run a modern SaaS company -Not enough understanding or budget is given to the teams and people who we actually need to invest in -It's still a very white and male culture even though there's been an increasing emphasis on diversity and inclusion -Some departments like HR & Procurement are built out like mature organizations and other departments like sales operations are incredibly immature and in line with what a real high performing SaaS company needs

We appreciate your positive and constructive feedback. Certainly many of the things you have enjoyed – working alongside talented colleagues, building best-in-class products and solutions, and pursuing an exciting vision – are just a handful of the reasons why we believe Diligent is such a fantastic place to be! We do hear your other constructive comments. We have taken steps to improve how we collaborate within Diligent and across our teams, including centralizing our teams in hubs around the world to be more effective and agile, and establishing cross-functional locations to scale our support processes and continue to enhance our client impact. We couldn’t agree more about the importance of a diverse mix of perspectives as we grow and scale, which is why we continue to recruit for talented individuals of all backgrounds and experiences at Diligent. On diversity, equity, and inclusion, as you say, we have put this front-and-center as a focus for our leadership team and organization. To that end, we’ve established a global Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Intersectionality (DEII) task force to serve as the voice of our employees, launched a suite of Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and build a dedicated DEII team, helping to ensure that the ideas and initiatives that we push forward represent the diverse perspectives and needs of our global team. We of course know we can do more in this area and are committed to taking action to enact real long term change. If you have any ideas on how we can improve or better support you, we welcome your thoughts and encourage you to speak with your manager or leader, or share them with us anonymously at HRconfidential@diligent.com. Thank you for being part of Diligent! - Avigail Dadone, Chief People Officer

Pros

The product is market-leading, and the space is genuinely interesting. There's no shortage of smart, capable people at Diligent. A lot of talented managers exist within the org who could do more if given the room.

Cons

Direction changes constantly — sometimes it feels quarter over quarter. The result is widespread burnout and an inability to execute. Senior leaders rarely push back on the CEO, which means teams absorb every strategic shift without warning or context. HR leadership prioritizes serving the executive team over the broader employee population. The HR team is stretched thin and operates more like a compliance function than a culture or development partner. (Turnover within HR leadership has been notable.) Pay is below market. The equity program is opaque, poorly managed, and functions more as a retention mechanism than a genuine benefit (with no clear path to liquidity). There's a meaningful gap between what the company says it stands for—especially around employee experience—and what it actually delivers internally.

Thank you for taking the time to share such thoughtful feedback about your experience. We truly appreciate you recognizing the strengths of our product and the talent across our team, and we’re glad to hear the space feels interesting and compelling. We also recognize that as a company focused on governance, risk and compliance, that it’s critical to hold ourselves to the same high standards internally. Through our monthly pulse surveys, we listen to our team, learn and actively work to strengthen any areas of feedback from alignment to transparency, or accountability across our leadership teams. In fact, one of our OKRs is focused solely on ensuring we have an empowered and accountable team, which we rally around as an organization. We appreciate other sources of feedback like yours, as it is an important part of that effort. Our People team is committed to supporting an elevated employee experience and continuously improving how we listen, respond, and evolve. While we won’t always get everything right on the first try, we are highly focused on continuing to iterate and making meaningful progress to ensure our actions reflect our values. We encourage continued feedback and appreciate you sharing your perspective. If you’d like to provide any additional context, please feel free to reach out at: HRConfidential@diligent.com
