Pros

amazingly smart people that are driven, passionate and just generally good people who care about making products and experiences that are elegant yet simple

Cons

the company is maturing and undergoing a lot of change with a new CEO at the helm, so the path isn't always 100% clear yet, but if you thrive in a place where you can create a bit of your own destiny and don't stress about change, then no problem!

One of the true tests of a strong culture is how much the values hold constant across organizational change. Because we are growing and scaling so quickly, change happens faster and more frequently than most companies. But maturation is a natural part of the process, and hopefully the best of our culture remains as we move out of our start-up phase. Your feedback is encouraging that it will. We've worked hard to make an inclusive environment, and are proud of where we've made strides in increasing diversity across the organization. You are correct that we need to do much, much better in this areas at the leadership level if we're going to effectively compete both for talent and as a business. It's an area of focus for us so please hold us accountable in this area.

Pros

- lots of ownership - decent middle management - great teammates - learning a lot - older employees do tend to have competitive RSU grants and salaries

Cons

- tons of legacy systems (10+ years version of Ruby on Rails... 10+ years since some products or services were updated, 0 associated automation to help) - last 2y of leadership has brought on tons of reorgs & changes. Example - recommended PTO days quietly went down, got rid of lots of free snacks, anniversary gifts went down $100s of dollars, plenty of silent layoffs - Senior leadership is focused on 1 thing - getting the stock price up. Has no interest in supporting some of our legacy systems that can prop up new products. - new hires are not fitting into our culture. Inflated titles. Empire building. Awarded for submitting buggy AI Slop code. Encourage working on the weekends. Starting to get toxic.
