Pros

ample parking, free lunch on Wednesdays, clean areas to work

Cons

Where do I start... The job was a big disappointment and nothing like what was mentioned in the interview. Bait and switch. Treated like children/robots. The place has cameras EVERYWHERE. People are being watched. No structure and constantly "trying" to do better...very slowly. FDA would have issues with some out dated practices. Management is full of microaggressions toward employees that ask questions. Lots of nepotism and intimate relations among management and staff. Not rumored very well documented. Professionals are not respected for their experience. Told to follow the leader. Do not appreciate outside the box thinking or trying a new way. Just stay in the bubble. They have a high turnover around for professionals in all departments. Very inexperienced uncoordinated people in management. The labs and parts of the warehouse don't have eye washes nor fire extinguishers especially since they are dealing with seriously hazardous chemicals. Owners that handle the "business" are not on sight. Always at home. Personal affairs become business issues.

Pros

Good pay, small corporate culture, family owned business, and good managers. I began freelancing part-time in the Corona, CA office until I moved out of state during Covid. I continued weekly freelance remotely until my creative director took a new job.

Cons

AI changed the game. We shifted from hiring models and doing photoshoots for the bold hair colors to using AI generation. It felt so fake like false advertising at first, but no AI is just our way of life. Nothing is likely to be real anymore.
