Pros
Having joined Deskpro as a Graduate, I was instantly given lots of autonomy and responsibility to run a full 360 sales pipeline. The sales role at Deskpro allows you to focus on the whole sales journey, without having to start in a BDR role and work up. I was also trusted with opportunities to pitch to a large-scale government within my first 6 months - teaching me valuable presentation skills. I've always been given opportunities to continue to develop within the business, through growing a team, taking on larger client projects and working on more technical projects. Ensuring that my skills across the board are improving, I found I could speak to other team members more skilled or knowledgeable in those areas for advice, especially when it came to improving my technical knowledge. As a growing small business with a product-focused CEO, there is definitely a culture of working hard towards a shared aim. I have found this to be incredibly rewarding with both the skills I have gained and the steps in my career I have taken. Although everyone works hard, I have made some amazing friends at Deskpro, with a manager that makes me feel listened to and lots of opportunities to take a step back from work through weekly team lunches and monthly pub trips. Overall, I have found Deskpro a great place to work, with huge opportunities I don't feel I would have been given elsewhere.
Cons
My role has been very broad, which can feel a lot, but as the team has grown, I've been able to focus more on specific areas.
