Pros
It's a fun place to work and has a laid back atmosphere. They have good product and you can learn a lot working here. They are sold in big retailers and are a recognizable brand. They are under TOPIX which allows you to have more opportunities within the other brands under TOPIX.
Cons
A lot of the roles here are very entry level with low entry level pay that isn't very high. There aren't many opportunities to move up to get a higher salary due to the salary budget being mainly consumed by upper management. They have lots of interns they pay minimum or close to minimum wage to supplement these high salaries for upper management. They constantly are looking for new interns for nearly every department due to how little they can pay them so that upper management can keep their salaries. There's lots of turnover because of the low salaries and difficulty to move up so the employees at DERMA E tend to be very young and have been at the company less than a year. This is especially true for their social media team. So for most, DERMA E is just a stepping stone and not a place to stick with and growth with except for upper management. Also, everyone is considered hourly except for upper management which is kind of odd. Overall I think DERMA E would run more efficiently if they attempted to retain their employees instead of looking for more interns or new entry level employees every 6 months/1 year.
