Pros
At this stage, I find it difficult to recommend this company unless you're in a position where options are limited. The current environment presents several challenges that outweigh the benefits.
Cons
Derivco once offered a strong culture, technical excellence, and genuine opportunities for growth. Unfortunately, much of that has eroded. The work-life balance has become increasingly unhealthy, and there's a lack of clear, strategic direction—meaning that even high-effort work often feels wasted. While there are still some talented individuals doing their best, senior leadership and executive decision-making have become increasingly disconnected and inconsistent. There are a few competent leaders, but they are the exception rather than the rule. The culture that made Derivco a great place to grow and contribute meaningfully has largely disappeared. Unless circumstances force your hand, it may be worth waiting a couple of years to see if the organisation can find its footing again.
