Pros
Very sociable colleagues, fantastic support with work, constant offers for continued learning and progression, able to manage your own days with no micromanaging. You get a huge sense of self-worth when you successfully help someone into work.
Cons
Work Coaches are no where near trained enough to deal with the amount of different vulnerabilities and difficulties claimants are facing. You are expected to deal with people dealing with Mental health disorders, people fresh out of Jail, people who are self-harming and considering suicide but you are given extremely limited training and support. You have some wonderful claimants who are turn up with a purpose and are ready to work with you to get themselves into work, however for the most part many of the claimants are either not bothered to really push to find work, approach you with either lies, an attitude, terrible excuses for why they cant find work or kick off because they've been sanctioned for not following DWP rules. Can get difficult.
