Pros
- Wonderful mission that is as important now as ever - Exceptionally talented coworkers who are deeply committed to the work - Fundraising is excellent, teams and programs are growing rapidly
Cons
- False urgency, there are constant fire drills, with unrealistic and unexplained deadlines - Relentless change in project leadership, organizational policies, and ways of doing things - Toxic negativity and hostility, including gossip between managers and direct reports that goes unchecked - Executive team sets unreasonable expectations and creates a culture of fear where mistake are not tolerated - Workload since the beginning of the Trump administration has been relentless with no sign of relief or support coming. More personnel and consultants are hired which leads to duplicated work on teams who are growing too fast to develop clear roles and solid processes. - No work life balance. True days off, time for family or recharging are hard to come by. The cultural expectation is that you will be available by phone or Slack even during time off. - Ignore the glowing, recent, and obviously fake reviews
