Deltek is an exceptional workplace that fosters a positive and supportive culture. The organization is truly employee-centric, placing a strong emphasis on work-life balance. One standout initiative is Project Nation Day, held every other Friday, where employees who have completed their critical tasks can take the afternoon off starting at 1 PM. In the US, Deltek also had FLEX time off where it's not accrual based. This is in addition to Sick time and holidays they give us as well. While the workload can be demanding and stressful, the collaborative and dedicated team environment makes a significant difference. Having a strong, supportive team enhances the overall experience and helps navigate challenges more effectively. Deltek also demonstrates a genuine commitment to listening to its employees. Feedback is actively sought and used to drive meaningful improvements across the organization. This responsiveness reinforces a culture of continuous growth and mutual respect.
Cons
One area that could benefit from improvement is the medical benefits package. While routine doctor visits and specialists are covered by the copays, services such as x-rays, MRIs, scans, and bloodwork are subject to the deductible. As these are often the primary services that apply to the deductible, it can feel as though coverage is limited until the deductible is met. This can be a financial strain for employees who require diagnostic care outside of standard appointments. Another area would be compensation. Based on publicly posted roles at other companies, similar positions appear to offer higher compensation, suggesting that Deltek may be below market value.
