Pros
The main reason would be the flight benefits for you and your family. Depending the group, co-workers (on your level) tend to be great to work with. They really become your family and begin to feel like you are are working for a common goal. Since most of the workers are from the "old-school" Delta world, they are quick to lend a helping hand. When the company was a little more flexible with spending, there use to be great team activities such as outings to hockey games, picnics, etc.
Cons
(Note I worked for the .com team ) You will be really overworked. I mean there is a lot of work and for whatever reason the company will fight tooth and nails not to hire full time employees opting to hire contract workers. Though this helps the bottom line, just think about having a new person project having to learn not only the project and their job but the culture of the company. Discussing the amount of work with the company will result in a nice write-up on your review about poor time management. So most workers just keep on taking on more and more crazy workloads. It is not uncommon to work 4 nights a week and Sunday evenings. Workers are so scared of losing their jobs that they take on the extra work because of the constant cloud of job loss hovering over their heads. This again leads to sloppy work are products are pushed to meet deadlines rather than great work. So you will notice products released to the public with many bugs to be fixed at a later date, the terms "first impression..." gets thrown out the window.
