Pros
401k match and profit sharing is awesome. Other benefits are also great and better than other firms I’ve worked at, except they oddly don’t offer bereavement leave, so I had to use my paid time off when I had a family member pass away. The free parking and cell phone stipend is great.
Cons
The culture of Delap was pretty good pre-pandemic, however since the pandemic, Delap has changed for the worse. The CEO, COO, and CAO are out of touch. We are supposed to go to the CAO for issues, and no one feels comfortable going to her. The other partners don’t make an effort to be involved in team events. I was hired pre-pandemic, and one of the partners didn’t even know who I was when I went into the office despite me having had several meetings with him this past year. I know that many of us have expressed that we are burnt out and could use better mental health resources, and the partner’s response was to provide us with sweatshirts... We asked for help and got swag instead. Also, why would you give out sweatshirts before summer?? The managers and senior managers are overworked and when I ask questions or seek clarification, they either don’t respond, or have a crabby attitude. I feel like we don’t receive proper coaching and development.
