Pros

DMA has nice holiday schedules and time off. The company has satellites all over Europe and parts of Asia. You'll meet and work with a diverse group of people.

Cons

DMA's American Forces Network division (AFN) faces significant technological challenges impacting radio production, with issues ranging from insufficient resources to signal disruptions and failed modernization attempts. DMA lacks essential tools for radio producers, affecting our ability to create industry-standard content and compete effectively. Persistent signal disruptions and studio failures undermine broadcast professionalism and overall reliability, demanding urgent attention. The slow pace of technological updates within DMA hampers our ability to adapt to the rapidly evolving media landscape. Attempts to modernize digital applications have failed, leading to unreliable and limited-functionality programs that compromise productivity and public trust. Pressure to promote flawed digital applications puts radio producers in a difficult position and damages the station's reputation.
