Pros
Good co-workers. I cannot say good pay, because probably you won't get the salary we had in Deem from Travelport. You are likely to work 95% of the time at home.
Cons
After the takeover of Deem by Travelport, things went downhill. Many coworkers lost their jobs, making everyone feel uncertain and down. Whether we're part of Travelport or still Deem, it needs to be clarified now regarding perks and benefits. Also, while our retirement contributions stayed the same, it takes time to swallow that Travelport gives their employees more. The last time we saw bonuses was before the acquisition, and it doesn't look like we'll get any in the future. On top of that, we've lost some small benefits like income protection, etc, making our overall compensation less appealing. There are no raises or chances to move up, and the president outright said he's not into promoting people. Many talented engineers left, and more will leave soon because there's no room to grow. Things will worsen when hiring in the tech industry comes back this year. Managers and directors no longer have much say in our careers, which needs to be clarified since they're still around. Meanwhile, top bosses get promotions and raises while the rest are stuck. Plus, HR only does the bare minimum. They pass everything to the legal team to avoid WRC complaints, leaving us without much help. Overall, stay away from this company. The bad stuff after the takeover outweighs any good, and things will remain the same.
