Pros

**Pros** Deel is a great company for people who enjoy the flexibility of remote work. I know colleagues who work from Europe one week and Latin America the next, so the ability to work from almost anywhere is a significant benefit. The base salary is competitive, and the company provides a strong technology stack that enables employees to do their jobs effectively. All work equipment and devices are covered by the company, making it easy to get started without worrying about hardware or setup costs.

Cons

**Cons** In my opinion, Deel is no longer the company it was once perceived to be. I joined believing I was joining the market leader, but my experience did not match those expectations. Sales quotas are extremely aggressive, and I found them disconnected from the reality of the product and the market. While Deel appears to perform well with smaller companies, I struggled to see a compelling offering for larger upmarket customers. Product maturity and operational execution often made it difficult to sell confidently. One of the biggest issues is that sales compensation is tied to implementation success, yet implementations frequently encounter delays or problems that are outside the seller's control. This creates frustration for both employees and customers. Operationally, this has been the most disorganized company I've worked for. Internal processes are often messy, cross-functional coordination is inconsistent, and many employees openly acknowledge these challenges. Customer churn and customer dissatisfaction also seemed higher than I expected, making it even harder to build long-term success. Career growth can also be limiting. Moving into larger segments is difficult because the products and supporting processes don't always appear ready for more complex enterprise customers. Finally, I found the sales leadership lacking in strategic direction and execution. Many of the issues I experienced felt rooted in leadership decisions rather than individual contributors, making it difficult to believe meaningful improvements would happen quickly.

Pros

- Fully remote - Mostly nice and talented people, you can learn a bunch and the atmosphere is good in the beginning - Once you realize you're not ever getting a raise you can get by doing bare minimum - You can write the ceo on slack and he will respond, which is actually insane considering its such a huge company

Cons

- Everyone is underpaid, even the senior directors. They present employee equity as extra compensation, but make it very difficult to sell shares at secondaries. - Raise/promotion policies are set up in a way where most ppl will never get it. I've seen superstar employees get 2% annual raise. The rest got 1%. - Pay is localized, so you can do the same exact job but get pay half of the compensation if you're not based in the US. - It's either employee contract for less money, and you have some employee rights given to you by your country, or more money but you're getting misclassified on a b2b contract and using vaction days when you get sick. The actual work requirements and responsibilities are the same in both cases. - If you're not drinking the koolaid you better fall in line and keep any opinions challenging the status quo to yourself - Manager can get pretty manipulative, they'll say anything to appease you, but will not act in your interest unless it aligns with their internal politics play
