Pros
I had a job within a week. All you need is a clean urinalysis and a relatively clean record. Most jobs in my area drag out the vetting process of new employees for weeks or months, even for entry level positions. I have seven interviews to go through for a $12 an hour job at another business. Decon's interview process was filling a cup with urine.
Cons
Disorganized. According to the rep, if I was merely late one time, I would be fired and yet it was difficult to even get a schedule of which days I would actually work. Maybe it is the nature of temp jobs, but the best Decton could do was have me call the day before to see if I go on shift the next day. My schedule flipped from graveyard shift to days within 48 hours. Again, this may be the nature of the temp job beast. Pay is $10 an hour, which is, from what I understand, about half of the "real" non-temp employees make at the warehouse. There are some carrots they dangle in front of us that say if we do an outstanding job, we "may" get promoted to a $15 an hour manager position, but in reality, this is seasonal work and we will all likely be let go after the holidays.
