Pros
Freedom of work was great. Always had time to do my work at the pace I wanted to work within the month. The employees are great and are fun to work with. Good first job for learning as much as you can because there is nothing stopping you from diving into things that interest you within your role.
Cons
Where to begin, there are so many glaring things that entry level employees will start to think is normal in professional workplaces. For starters, management within multiple departments is incompetent and puts on a good face to lead on employees and clients alike. There is literally no support whatsoever from other departments and asking for simple things like deadlines on new sites is like pulling teeth. Besides that, they treat clients with the same fake facade that they use on employees. Angry clients are treated as if they are the ones at fault and they never consider that it might be the type of service they are getting that is really making them angry. The sales department is treated as if they are gods amongst the company, and I realize getting the clients is hard work and should be rewarded, but they consistently give unreasonable expectations just to hit their numbers. The pay for even 1 or 2 year tenured employees is WELL below industry average across the nation. There is no such thing as merit based pay bumps or promotions, instead senior most members are given positions and titles they should not hold and continue the mediocrity that this company demonstrates. Cookie cutter websites, work and service makes for a lousy feeling with employees who are mostly client facing.
