Pros
When an organization truly lets its mission guide every decision, it sets both employees and students up for meaningful success and DeVry consistently does just that. My expectations continue to be exceeded, especially through the strong cross-departmental collaboration that exists across the organization. No matter the team, the shared focus is always the same: How can we better support our students?
The top-down communication from the Executive Committee creates clarity and momentum, allowing that vision to flow through every department. This alignment makes it possible for teams to come together, think creatively, and develop unique solutions that drive positive student outcomes.
I am incredibly proud to work alongside such dedicated and compassionate colleagues who actively partner to remove obstacles and put student care first. Employees are encouraged to think outside the box, share recommendations, and help improve processes and team operations all while receiving a strong and supportive layer of guidance from senior leadership. It’s empowering, collaborative, and deeply rewarding work.
Cons
The organization is constantly evolving to better support students, which means priorities and processes can shift quickly. This requires flexibility, but it also keeps the work dynamic and impactful. Not a "con" but more so a call to action to remain ready to act quickly.
