Pros

After serving 28 years of active duty in the United States Air Force, I found myself at a crossroads. Transitioning from military service to civilian life was both exciting and daunting, and like many veterans, I wasn’t entirely sure where my next chapter would lead. That’s when DSA found me. At the time, I didn’t even know who DSA was, but looking back now, I can’t imagine a better place to have landed. From the very beginning, DSA recognized my experience, leadership, and dedication, showing me that my skills from the Air Force could translate seamlessly into a new and meaningful career. The company embraced my military background, providing an environment where discipline, integrity, and teamwork weren’t just valued but actively encouraged. The transition was smoother than I ever expected, thanks to the incredible support system within DSA. Over the past ten years, I’ve found a second home here. The same sense of camaraderie that defined my years in the military is alive and well within this company. DSA’s commitment to excellence, both in the workplace and within the broader industry, has inspired me every day. Beyond the professional growth and opportunities, it is the people—the colleagues who have become family. One of the most impressive aspects of DSA is the accessibility and involvement of senior leadership. Unlike many organizations where executives are distant and detached, DSA’s leadership is present, engaged, and genuinely invested in the success of every employee. Monthly town hall meetings serve as an open forum for transparent communication, where leadership shares company updates, addresses concerns, and celebrates achievements. These meetings reinforce the company's culture of openness and collaboration, making employees feel heard and valued. Additionally, senior leadership is deeply involved in professional development, ensuring that employees have opportunities to grow and advance in their careers. Whether through mentorship programs, training initiatives, or leadership development courses, DSA continuously invests in its people. DSA took a chance on me when I was navigating an unfamiliar world, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions of my life. Today, I proudly say that I enjoy working for this company because of the trust, respect, and appreciation it shows for its employees. Looking back on my time here, DSA has left an incredible mark on me. I look forward to continuing this journey.

Pros

Working at DSA has been a genuinely positive experience. The company gives you room to take ownership, solve meaningful problems, and deliver solutions that matter to the mission. In my role supporting Army G‑8, I’ve had the opportunity to build modern Power Apps, streamline workflows, and design dashboards that directly improve how teams operate. That level of trust and responsibility isn’t something you get everywhere. One of the biggest strengths of DSA is the people. My coworkers consistently step up for each other, and leadership encourages collaboration instead of competition. When someone is out or a project gets busy, the team rallies. It creates an environment where you feel supported and where your contributions actually matter. DSA also gives you the flexibility to grow your skills. If you’re motivated, you can take on work that stretches you technically and professionally. I’ve been able to operate at a Cloud Solution Architect level, and the company has never boxed me in or limited what I could take on. That autonomy has accelerated my development more than any previous role. The culture is steady, respectful, and mission‑focused. You’re close enough to the customer to see the impact of your work, but you still get the stability and structure of an established company. For anyone who values ownership, trust, and the chance to build solutions that make a difference, DSA is a strong place to be.

Cons

Raises and promotions can feel slow due to the structure of federal contracting.
