Pros

Great location, beautiful building, smart coworkers ("teammates")

Cons

DaVita underpays compared to comparable jobs in the market and they're losing employees. While accolades suggest otherwise, if you're below VP and you've been in the Village for more than a year, there's a lot of grumbling and discontentment. There's also a huge business school culture (every phone call need be accompanied with a powerpoint presented with b-school zingers).

Pros

Stable company to work for with great benefits. DaVita offers tuition reimbursement, so it pays to go back to school and get a degree. They also help with career advancement and development.

Cons

If you are new to dialysis, it may take a while to reach a decent wage. You are required to work 12 hour shifts, mostly on your feet, and managers will always look to add to your workload.

Pros

Depending on location and your clinic, leadership team is incredibly supportive, which keeps the day-to-day work environment relatively stress-free. Having the independence to manage your own scheduling also allows for an excellent work-life balance.

Cons

The initial onboarding and training programs are highly disorganized and lack substance. Additionally, standard pay raises are quite low and do not feel competitive relative to the workload and current market value.
