Pros

I just started, ill update or write another review at 6 months or a year. My FA is a nice lady. She treats me with respect.

Cons

Ok, so let me tell you about my basic training, Davita makes all employees share hotel rooms, its their policy no exceptions. So I got paired up with an inconsiderate weirdo. To start off, i get to the room and he is eating on my bed, he has all of his he has his dirty clothes on my bed, so we have a ugly exchange about that. So every night he woke me up snoring and talking in his sleep. I mean he snored loud enough to vibrate the walls, no joke. He was a smoker and I am not and honestly cant stand that smell. He would get up at 2am and walk around the room make all kinds of noise. He would squirt nasal spray up his noise and make some god awful animal noises and then his nose would run and he would snort back and swallow his sputum. Which made me sick. He did this all night long. He get him self a can of soda at 3am drink it and crush the can in a dead silient room. He had an ugly exchange over thatvas well. I mean this guy was a nightmare, I woke up and he was just standing in the middle of the room, like a freakin weirdo. He would urinate in the floor. He would spit toothpaste on and around the sink. The last night before our test I came back from dinner and he had tv cranked up, so I asked him to turn it down so I could study and he turns it down from like 25 to 18, which is still loud as hell. By this time I was so pissed and violence was drawning close and he had a hunting knife that he brought in the room and I didnt have anything. So I just went in the bathroom and locked the door and tried to study inside the bathroom to avoid the conflict. I failed the test of course. Even still, I take responsiblity for that and dont make excuses.

Pros

Stable company to work for with great benefits. DaVita offers tuition reimbursement, so it pays to go back to school and get a degree. They also help with career advancement and development.

Cons

If you are new to dialysis, it may take a while to reach a decent wage. You are required to work 12 hour shifts, mostly on your feet, and managers will always look to add to your workload.

Pros

Management supports a work-life balance, hours are flexible, okay benefits. Good training opportunities and there is effort by management to support a good work culture. 6 weeks at 80% of pay Paternity/Maternity & Adoption leave. 401K with 6% matching. For 2 adults, we pay for Davita's Anthem BCBS healthcare plan and it is $350/month (4,700 deductible).

Cons

Payscale isn't aggressive - 1% raise each year. You also may be asked to cover other clinics temporarily without fair compensation for the extra workload.
