Would definitely not recommend working here. Especially for designers or developers. - Graphic Designer DOCOMO Digital Employee Review

Pros

A lot of good people and decent environment in the NY office. They mean well but the company is misdirected and mismanaged. It's not a very fast paced environment at all if you know what you're doing. Easy place to collect a paycheck if thats all you want. It's easy to balance your personal life, and people don't look over your shoulder.

Cons

No room for growth. The company has been on a downward spiral, living off the fumes of deteriorating ringtone sales years. Formerly Dada Entertainment, almost no one has received their contractual raises for 4 years. Not to exclude the gross underpay compared to similar positions in the US. The motivation for making great products is horrible, this is strictly a marketing, money in-money out company. Talent level is low, not very much is asked of you and there are no rewards for going above and beyond. Knowledge level of employees is pretty low when it comes to the mobile landscape which is supposed to be core business. I would suggest researching the better business bureau ratings and blog entries on both Dada Entertainment and Buongiorno in the US and Canada. Note: Everything above may all change with their recent aquisition by NTT Dokomo.

Pros

Great company! Awesome culture, amazing benefits, transparent management and the work itself is a lot of fun! Mobile apps! Excellent work/personal life balance, casual dress code, good medical and dental benefits, smart senior management, summer fridays, company lunches, etc.

Cons

Because of the nature of the mobile app environment the company has to quickly adapt to change.

Pros

The company culture is OK, inoffensive but just OK. They kept most of the perks of the old company I worked for in place until they moved operations to the East Coast.

Cons

Buongiorno is a multi-national and management sees employees more as a resource than as people. There's no cohesive business strategy.
