Right now, I am a team lead. I am off the phone assisting my team with development. Some would say that I love my job because I am off the phone. This is not true. Just yesterday, our GM asked if some of the Team Leads could come in. Before I knew what it was for, I agreed to come in at 8am, and stay as long as I was needed. I will be taking calls, just like any other agent does, and it doesn't bother me one bit! One thing that I think agents forget most of the time is that the focus isn't about your personal preferences. No job out there is. Everyone in the CSR position applied to be a CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE. The very definition is to SERVE the CUSTOMER. Whether I am taking calls, or leading my team, that is my drive everyday!
Cons
Really, the only thing I can think of: I wish we had a more "at home feel". Meaning, I wish the walls were painted a light red, or blue, and we had laminated "hard-wood" like floors. Basically, I would love it if the whole floor looked like the ICE/VIP lounge. Seriously... that's all I could suggest. Well, maybe raised desk. I like to stand and work.
