Pros

5 hour energy is only $2.75 in the vending machine and it takes credit cards!! So if you have a love for energy but only have a credit card.... Dish is THE best place to work on the corner of Santa Fe and Bowles!! Free TV. Money is decent. If you are good they leave you alone.

Cons

You'll make some decent paychecks after a month or so if you aren't a bonehead. But, you will become brain dead. Dish advertises to the absolute lowest forms of life in the this country. Then they wonder why we can't sell them... Well, they have a 206 credit score and no credit cards. I have essentially no faith in humanity left. And after talking to the people I talked to i have no faith left in America. I typically make 1000-1250 a week my best week was 2200 but I work 52 hours a week to do so. And 2250 happened once... OT is not optional... It's required. Dish is a huge casino, and you WILL stay there until you lose. Don't eat in the cafeteria unless you just really enjoy having diarrhea. They keep people for about 9 months and then either fire them for some obscure violation or have sucked their will to live. Most of the people/managers are pretty legit but the corporate structure is not setup to value work/life balance. If you take a job with Dish... Have an exit strategy!! I read these posts when I started and thought " what a bunch of whiners. it can be that bad if you're getting paid well" I say work there... But use them and never forget you are being used. It looks good on a resume if you can make it for a year in the denver area.

Pros

I made a late in life career change and started in a Level 1 call center role. At first, I thought the recruiter's pitch about growth was just a talking point. I simply needed a new direction. But the training was incredible. I had four amazing coaches during my call center days. Since moving into TA, I’ve had the same supportive coach/manager. Each one has truly helped me grow. Meeting regularly with someone who genuinely wants you to succeed is a rare gift. I've seen others grow at their own pace—progress is always encouraged. It’s empowering to work hard and have a team that supports your growth. All you need is the willingness to learn and a solid work ethic. The tools and training? They’re part of the package. Years later, I still look forward to showing up and doing what I love.

Cons

Tech and HR are always changing, you must be able to embrace change

Pros

Work from home is the only pro I can think of

Cons

They don’t provide any equipment aside from the computer itself. They mislead you during the interview and job description. You are paid according to price of product sold and close rate however it’s all inbound calls and you can not call back. The inbound calls are lousy, people who don’t even have a $1 on a card in order to do the eligibility check, or no card at all.. poor credit which leads to higher out of pocket costs. I think only a handful of times I couldn’t overcome the spousal objection or the just shopping objection. Those I will take responsibility for but if I’m getting calls from people who don’t have a card or don’t have a $ or don’t have the money to put down OR already have an account or is a mis-transfer or were passed along because the technicians have to make referrals even though the customer isn’t actually interested in the product yet the tech makes them still call.. that’s crap and it’s not real sales.
