DHL Brand recognized worldwide. Big organization so possibility to meet lots of people and make some friends.
Cons
Low base and commission not worth the stress. Too much admin. Not enough freedom. Micromanaged to the point of counter productivity. Not a sales organization or culture. No common sense. Reports, reports and meetings and meetings overkill and unrealistic metrics. Just dumb. Closing 4 deals in 1 month worth a total of $1000 is considered much better than closing 1 or 2 deals worth $80,000. Nobody does 6 visits per day as required so every body lies. Most customers do not want to see or hear from their reps that often. Organisation built on lies is not healthy of course. So since everyone is lying, everybody lies low and nobody speaks about all the issues. Weak leadership and management across the board not built in trust. Mostly DHL lifers, that do not know any other ways. If your interviewing and your manager has been at DHL more than 5 years - run. More than 15 years - sprint!
