- Fast and unclear training.
- Demanding supervisors that do not fully understand operations
- Supervisors play favorites when met with employee conflict resolution thus resulting in supervisor & employee retaliation.
- Lack of communication. (DHL - Erlanger, KY does not communicate with employees on training follow ups, flight delays, scheduling issues, payroll issues or harassment issues).
- Climate control is horrible at the Erlanger, KY location. They do NOT heat the employee work area in the winter. If it’s 10°F outside, it’s 10°F or cooler inside. The only heated zones are offices and upper parts of the building.
- Pay grade. Competitive, sure. Upon my start upon September of 2017, I was offered $12.55 to do Reload Job duties. When “peak season” arrived they gave everyone in the building a wage increase of $2.00. This was due to the heavy volume. At the end of peak season in January of 18 it was decided that they would take away the $2.00 raise but keep the high volume. This is a huge CON. In addition to the high volumes, the poor heating made it pointless to work.
All of this is why My girlfriend and I left DHL - Erlanger, KY within 5 months of hire. I left for a lower paying job that would treat me like a human while still remaining in aviation.
