Unfortunately the cons outweigh any of the pros.
• If you love drama, this is the place for you. There is drama at every corner, whether it was because of Brandon or your coworkers.
• 0 structure; it’s a madhouse.
• You can tell there’s no proper training on product considering if you go to different stores, you’ll hear a lot of misinformation which will lead to poor consultations for customers.
• BEWARE you just might lose your job over a single bad Google or Yelp review. Employees are never given the benefit of the doubt, EVER. You could be the best at your job but forget it. That review will taint your record.
• Immature managers and inexperienced.
• Nepotism
• Horrible vetting process for incoming employees. Sometimes you’ll be unfortunate enough to be stuck in a store where certain employees don’t do or know anything.
• If you want to move up, ha! Good luck. They rather hire someone externally and inexperienced rather than internally and someone who knows the business and their store.
• HQ as a whole is essentially useless and immature. My only hope would be that Estée Lauder in the future would do an entire overhaul and fire everyone and replace with new professional staff.
• Exceptionally high turnover rate. Wouldn’t recommend this job to anyone.
