DAI secures contracts to work on the world's most pressing challenges, including climate change and natural resource issues, health, education, economic growth, and many more areas. The people that work here are uniformly intelligent, dedicated, skilled, caring, and all around great people to have on your side.
Cons
This challenge isn't unique to DAI, but as a global contracting organization, we tend to go after just about anything and everything. The result is that there isn't always a feeling of "we're contributing to this singular mission," but rather, "we can jump from one development problem to the next." In many ways that's a pro and a con. On the plus side, it means the company can pull together teams to tackle just about anything. On the downside, it can feel less purely mission-focused than some other types of organizations. There also aren't many (or any) professional development opportunities for project staff.
